The Schipperke is a breed of dog bred in Belgium at the end of the 19th century to hunt birds. They are small dogs with a strong build, short legs and a broad muzzle. They have thick, short and stiff fur that protects them from cold and moisture. Schipperke are known for their energetic and playful nature, they are very sociable and love to spend time with people. They are also great companions for children due to their friendliness and loyalty.
