The Affenpinscher is a small breed of dog of the pinscher family with an unusual appearance. Translated from German, affe means "monkey". Therefore, the full name of the breed can be translated as “monkey pinscher.” Indeed, the face of this dog resembles the face of a monkey.
Today the Affenpinscher is used as a companion dog and interior decoration. However, it has not lost its qualities as a hunting dog and can be used to remove rats and mice from the house. They are also wary of strangers and tend to defend their territory. Despite its small size, the dog can act as a guard, fearlessly rushing at intruders and barking piercingly.
These small dogs feel great in city apartments. They are unpretentious and do not require complex and expensive care. They treat their owners very well, follow them everywhere, and can even be taken with you on trips.
The Afenpinscher is a dog that is not for everyone. They require a lot of attention and exercise. They can become overly attached to their owner, can become a nuisance and require special training. It is not suitable for families with small children, as it may begin to fight for dominance.
