Rat Terriers are small but sturdy dogs that were bred in the UK. They have a stocky build and short legs, making them very agile. Rat Terriers have short coats that can be any color, including black, white, brown, and red. They have large ears that can be either erect or hanging, and large eyes that give them a very intelligent look.
Rat Terriers are often referred to as "rat traps" because they are excellent hunters of rats and other small rodents. They are also very friendly and affectionate with people, making them ideal for families with children.
Despite their small size, Rat Terriers are very strong and hardy dogs. They can easily handle long walks and workouts, as well as hunting small animals.
